Fishing that is second to none - summer or winter!! Come and try dropping a line for some.... walleye, bass, trout, pike, whitefish, perch or muskie and you won't be disappointed.

Trails - For walking, hiking, mountain biking, Snowmobiling, ATV Adventures, snowshoeing, skiing, dog sledding or just plain experiencing the incredible outdoors any time of the year. Discovery Routes, OFSC Snowmobile trails, Voyageur Multi-Use Trails and urban trails like the Kate Paceway - we have something to suit every season!

Paddling Adventures - Can be found on Algonquin Park's canoe routes, in Lake Temagami and area, Wolf and Pickerel River systems, Magnetawan River, Mattawa River routes ..... and there are countless more lakes and rivers to explore in our region. There is always something new to explore or a familiar favorite to revisit.

Camping - Summer or winter at one of the six Provincial Parks or at the many private campgrounds within our beautiful region!! If you think the park is beautiful in the summer, you should try it when the leaves are changing or in the snow. Crisp, still air wakes you in the morning with that fresh dusting of snow on the tent... hot coffee over an open fire and some of the most breathtaking scenery you'll every experience.

Festivals - Try the North Bay Heritage Festival, Dragon Boat Races, Powassan Maple Syrup Festival, Mattawa Voyageur Days, ATV Rallys galore, Winter Carnivals and Christmas Walks ... just to name a few. You can visit www.blueskyfestivals.com to see more of what we have to offer!

Hockey northern style - played on the outdoor rinks that you can find in almost every town. Do some exploring while you're at that tournament!
